Summer is officially here in the Bay Area, which can mean overcast with chill in the air to hot with humidity. I tend to eat based on how I feel inside and out. When its hot, I eat less and I want lighter items. Cool days, I may eat a little more or just heavier items. Here are a couple of my favorite cocktails and dishes no matter what the weather is:
The Boulevardier - a classic cocktail and cousin to the negroni, this drink is a crowd pleaser as well as easy to make.
1 1/2 oz. Bourbon 1 oz. Campari 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
Glass: cocktail/coupe Garnish: orange slice, lemon twist or cherry Stir long and well with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass.
